KN Boiler Ignition System Design
The boiler uses a proven pilot with interrupted spark ignition and UV flame detection. The pilot is created on the main burner as opposed to the pilot being a separate assembly. This important design feature provides for reliability. The UV detector is incorporated within the ignition components in such manner as to eliminate alignment problems.

The UV detector is cooled and condensation on the detector prevented by the introduction of cooling air from a small air pump.
