RELIABILITY
The gas side design distributes heat evenly across the entire exchanger, losing heat to the water as it travels down. The waterside of the exchanger adds heat evenly as it rises in the casting. These characteristics ensure an even stress distributing with no 'hot' spots within the sections. The KN Series is designed for balanced temperature rise across each section, further reducing inter-section stresses. The relatively small size of the castings also minimizes stress differences. RELATION OF WATER PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE Unique internal baffle design allows the boiler to operate without 'steaming' at low boiler pressure according to : Supply temperature (max) = Saturation temperature of water (at boiler supply pressure) -40 Degrees F |
